Why Delegate exists
Most "AI for small business" advice is either generic ("use ChatGPT!") or expensive ($10K consultant engagements). Neither tells a 9-person shop what AI tools actually fit their workflow today, what they cost, and — just as importantly — what NOT to automate.
Delegate fills that gap with structured analysis at the price of a tool subscription, not a consulting engagement. Four minutes of intake. Ten minutes to delivery. $149. The audit a senior consultant would write if they had to do it for an order of magnitude less money.
Who builds it
Tobination LLC is the parent company — a holding company for AI and software ventures. Founder Scott Tobin spent years running an AI marketing agency for medical practices and saw the same gap there: small businesses need analytical clarity, not pitches. Delegate is the product version of that learning.
What we believe
- AI is a leverage tool, not a replacement for judgment. The audit identifies where it can do the work — and where it shouldn’t.
- Most automation advice is undermined by affiliate incentives. We don’t take fees from the tools we recommend. The $149 is the only money we earn from your audit.
- "Do not automate" is a feature, not a hedge. Every audit flags 10-25% of tasks that should stay human. If we recommend automating everything, we’re lying to you.
- Specific beats generic, every time. "Use AI for bookkeeping" isn’t advice. "Set up Ramp for AP automation, $0-$15/user/month, 1-2 hours of setup, integrates with QuickBooks" is.
